1.16.x
24 releases
v1.16.24
Sep 5, 2026
Changed
- Add and edit this week's sessions immediately — New or updated workouts on the current week show on the day cards right away. Past weeks stay as they were.
v1.16.23
Sep 3, 2026
Fixed
- Coach roster photos fall back to initials — If an athlete photo will not load, you see their initials instead of a broken image.
- Coach roster stays usable when week data is thin — The dashboard no longer errors when a week's slots or awards are missing.
- Checking off a gym session is more reliable — Marking a strength workout done should save instead of failing quietly.
- Help tips stay on the right control — Hover and tap tips no longer miss the button they belong to.
v1.16.22
Sep 1, 2026
Fixed
- Keep both quality days you asked for — If you ask for a VO2 session and a threshold session in the same week, extra easy mileage is added on other days instead of turning the second quality workout into another easy run.
- No filler run on a day you marked off — Notes like "no run on Monday" or "Monday off" keep that day free of extra easy runs.
v1.16.21
Sep 1, 2026
Fixed
- Activity maps show streets again — Opening a ride or run no longer covers the background map with "API KEY REQUIRED." Your route, start, and finish still show as usual.
v1.16.20
Sep 1, 2026
Fixed
- Chapter road phase averages use miles when you do — Weekly projections already followed your units. The Build, Peak, and Taper summaries on the right now match, instead of staying in kilometres.
v1.16.19
Aug 31, 2026
Changed
- Setup no longer waits on activity analysis — After you connect your training history, the volume step opens as soon as your recent activities are in. Baseline and analysis can keep running in the background while you set your typical week.
- A small status chip instead of a full-page wait — If your history is still landing, you see a brief status on the form instead of a screen that says it will take a couple of minutes.
- Session editor matches your watch — Warm up and cool down sit as bookends. Work and recovery sit in the middle. Pace menus show your range (Easy pace 5:44–6:33/km), not an internal name.
- Running paces from your fitness — Easy, marathon, threshold, and similar targets use your current fitness, with a tight band around the prescribed pace.
Fixed
- Confirm your chapter uses miles when you do — A marathon goal shows 26.2 mi, not 42.2 km.
- Weekly progress gauges use miles when you do — Run and ride totals on the week view match your unit setting. Swim stays in kilometres.
- Swim weekly card shows calories — The extra stat is calories, not elevation (which is always about zero in the pool).
- Editing a planned session keeps its steps — Opening customize loads warmup, repeats, and cooldown instead of a blank skeleton.
- Weekly kilometres update after you change distances — Editing step lengths updates the week total and sport breakdown.
- You can save edits on generated sessions — Planner workouts can be updated and deleted, not only ones you added yourself.
v1.16.18
Aug 31, 2026
Changed
- Taper steps down 80 / 68 / 55 — The last three weeks before your goal race are 80% of peak three weeks out, 68% two weeks out, and 55% in race week. Race-week kilometres include the race itself, so training that week is the rest of that 55%, not a full easy week plus the marathon on top.
Fixed
- Tune-up races no longer inflate the week — A tune-up on the calendar counts toward that week's running total, so easy days are sized around it instead of filling the week and then adding the race.
- No second easy run on a day that already has one — Extra mileage is not stacked as another easy or long run on a day that already has that session.
v1.16.17
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- Week-one training no longer vanishes at the last second — If you train in miles, generating a week (including the first week of a new chapter) could fill the progress bar, then reopen the generate window with no plan saved. Those weeks now complete. If something still goes wrong, that window shows an error instead of a blank form.
v1.16.16
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- Volume preview uses miles when you do — After you choose miles, the week-by-week running and cycling totals on the plan step show miles instead of kilometres.
- Half and full marathon in miles — Distance menus show 13.1 mi and 26.2 mi when you train in miles. 5K and 10K stay named as they are.
v1.16.15
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- Going back during setup still works — If you reached the training-volume step then went back to change your race or notes, setup could get stuck and refuse to continue. You can go back, edit, and keep going.
v1.16.14
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- Setup no longer gets stuck building your plan — If you left signup open and a new version loaded, or you refreshed mid-setup, your race date and goal time could vanish and the plan step would spin forever. Those details now save as you go. If they are still missing, you will be asked to set them again instead of waiting.
v1.16.13
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- Last peak week stays a peak — Training plans no longer put a recovery week immediately before taper. That last peak week stays at peak volume, and taper is what cuts the kilometres.
v1.16.12
Aug 31, 2026
Fixed
- The ⋯ menu on a planned session always opens — Edit and delete used to show only after you expanded that session. The menu now opens from the collapsed card too.
v1.16.11
Aug 31, 2026
Changed
- Add a workout in your usual units — Distances, paces, and elevation when you add or edit a session now follow kilometres or miles from your settings. The extra km/mi switch on that screen is gone, so the preview matches the rest of the app. Track repeats like 400 m stay in metres.
Fixed
- Weekly plans honor a requested long-run distance — If you ask for a specific long-run length in your notes (for example, “make the long run 35k”), that distance is used instead of a short deload or tune-up-race default.
- No extra easy run on race day or the night before — Filler mileage is no longer placed on a race or the day before a tune-up or goal race.
- Leftover mileage prefers an empty day — Extra easy running goes on an open day instead of stacking onto a strength or ride day, or onto the night before a race.
- Recovery rides stay recovery rides — A single easy spin is no longer stretched to the full weekly bike target.
- Weekly run total stays closer to the plan when a race is on the calendar — Race kilometres count toward the week, so the other sessions add up nearer the mileage you were aiming for.
v1.16.10
Aug 30, 2026
Fixed
- Next week's unlock time shows 7pm, not 11pm — When next week is still locked, the button now says Sunday at 7pm in your local time, without a time zone name.
v1.16.9
Aug 30, 2026
Changed
- Setup without a goal race — Step three now asks whether you have a race booked. If you don't, you can continue in maintenance mode and keep getting a week of training without starting a chapter.
Fixed
- Mile and custom distances on every race form — Goal races, tune-ups, and chapter setup now include 1 Mile in the list, plus a Custom option so you can type any distance.
v1.16.8
Aug 30, 2026
Changed
- Public site distances follow your region — Demo workouts on the marketing site use miles in the US and UK (and a few other countries) and kilometres everywhere else. The header no longer has a km/mi switch.
v1.16.6
Aug 28, 2026
Added
- Mark strength sessions done without Strava — Gym and strength workouts on your week plan can be checked off when you finish them, even if they never show up as a Strava activity. You can uncheck if you marked one by mistake.
v1.16.5
Aug 27, 2026
Changed
- Next week's plan opens Sunday at 7pm Eastern — You can still generate this week's plan any day. Next week waits until Sunday evening, after this week's training is in, so the plan is not built off an empty Monday. You'll get a reminder when it opens.
Fixed
- Regenerating a week no longer keeps an undersized first draft — If an earlier plan came in much lighter than the week should be, generating again now builds to the real target instead of copying those short sessions forward.
v1.16.4
Aug 27, 2026
Fixed
- Asked-for VO2 or interval sessions no longer disappear on a recovery week — If you asked for VO2, intervals, or a threshold session, a recovery week (or a note that some days should stay easy) could still come back with no hard running at all. That session now stays on the plan. Recovery weeks still keep at most one hard session, and the easy days you named stay easy.
v1.16.3
Aug 26, 2026
Fixed
- The long run is no longer forced to one-third of the week — High-mileage weeks were stretching the Saturday long toward 33% of weekly kilometres (and filling up to the safety cap). The long run now follows the distance you have actually been running, and extra weekly kilometres go on midweek easy days instead.
v1.16.2
Aug 26, 2026
Fixed
- Recovery weeks stay a recovery — After a big week or a race, the next cooldown week could still schedule a very long run and more total kilometres than the plan called for. Recovery weeks now keep the long run and weekly volume at the deload target.
- Long runs stay within the cap for that phase of training — A recent race or extra-long weekend can no longer push the next prescribed long run past the safe ceiling for peak, build, or recovery weeks.
- Easy days stay real runs, not 1 km scraps — On a high-mileage week the plan could lock in a long run and a hard session, then sprinkle the leftover kilometres across extra easy days as 1–3 km jogs. Those leftover days now drop if they cannot be a proper easy run (about 5 km or more), so your week is fewer, real sessions instead of junk mileage.
- A strong week plus “ready for more” raises next week’s volume — If you already ran above the peak the plan had stored and you asked for more, the next week could still sit at that old peak. It now catches up to the volume you have been running, within a safe week-to-week cap.
v1.16.1
Aug 25, 2026
Fixed
- Setup no longer asks you to build a week you already generated — If your chapter starts next Monday and you generated this week's plan during setup, opening the app could still prompt you to generate the week. That prompt no longer appears once the week is already planned.
v1.16.0
Aug 25, 2026
Added
- Miles, minutes per mile, and feet when you train in imperial — Distance, pace, and elevation can follow kilometres or miles. Choose when you join, or in Settings when you are between chapters. Workout descriptions use round miles (6 mi, not 6.2 mi). Classic race names like 5K and 10K stay as they are, and there is a 1 Mile option with the kilometre equivalent in parentheses.
- Kilometres or miles on the public site — The marketing site has a km/mi toggle. It remembers your choice and starts from your region.
Changed
- Your unit preference stays put while a chapter is underway — You can change kilometres vs miles in Settings on The Road or after a chapter ends, not while one is in progress. That keeps your plan, emails, and workout cards in one system of units.
- Swimming stays in metres — Pool and triathlon swim distances stay metric even if you run in miles, matching how the sport is measured.

v1.15.23
Aug 24, 2026
Changed
- Interval sessions now count their recovery jogs — The distance on an interval workout used to cover only the hard reps, so the easy jogging between them was training you did that the plan never counted. Those jogs are now part of the session distance and your weekly total, which makes interval days look longer than before — the running has not changed, only the accounting. Your week stays on target: the easy days adjust to make room.
- Every interval session comes with a stated recovery — Sessions that said "full recovery" now name the actual rest between reps, so the card, your weekly volume, and the workout sent to your watch all agree on the same number.
Fixed
- No more extra jog after your last interval — The workout sent to your watch added a recovery lap after the final rep, right before the cool-down. The rest now falls between reps, where it belongs.
v1.15.21
Aug 20, 2026
Fixed
- Your generated week stays put — A weekly plan could occasionally disappear after it was built, leaving the week empty and forcing you to generate it again. Plans now stay saved once they are created.
- Fewer Strava connections break in the first place — Opening the app could quietly drop your Strava connection, which silently stopped new runs and rides from arriving. That no longer happens, and any activities still waiting to sync are kept.
- Saving display settings or refreshing your Strava profile no longer risks losing your weekly plan — Those updates now change only what they should, so your training week and Strava connection stay intact.
v1.15.20
Aug 20, 2026
Fixed
- You now get told when your Strava connection needs reconnecting — If Build Your Legend lost the ability to reach your Strava account, new activities quietly stopped arriving and nothing explained why. We now notice and ask you to reconnect, so a broken connection is something you can fix rather than something you discover weeks later.
- One reconnect reminder at a time — When a connection did need attention, that reminder could repeat once for every activity still waiting to sync. You now get a single prompt.
- Weekly plans no longer fail to build when the long run hits its safe limit — On some weeks the plan set a long-run duration that could not be reached within a safe distance for your recent training, and the week failed to generate at all. The two now agree, so your plan builds and the long run stays within a sensible progression.
v1.15.19
Aug 20, 2026
Fixed
- Interval sessions send your watch the warm-up and cool-down the plan describes — On a session with intervals, the workout sent to your watch could open with a shorter warm-up and close with a shorter cool-down than the session description listed, quietly dropping a few kilometres of easy running from the workout you actually ran. Both now match the session exactly, and the intervals themselves are unchanged. Sessions already on your calendar keep the distances they were built with; weeks planned from now on are correct.
v1.15.18
Aug 19, 2026
Fixed
- Long runs stay close to what you actually ran — After a shorter cooldown week, the next long run could drop far below the distance you had just been covering. The plan now aims at your recent long runs and shortens midweek easy days if needed, instead of cutting Sunday.
- Strength stays on the day you asked for — If you asked for strength on one day only, the week could still put a run on that day and move the lift onto another. Strength now stays on the day you named, without an extra run stacked on it.
v1.15.17
Aug 19, 2026
Fixed
- Interval workouts sent to your watch now include rest and a pace range — Sessions written as "full recovery" (or with no rest duration) were exporting every repeat back-to-back, and a single target pace became a point with no range on the device. Repeats now get a 90-second recovery lap when the plan does not specify a rest, and pace alerts use a ±10 s/km band around the prescribed pace.
v1.15.16
Aug 18, 2026
Fixed
- Mid-week maintenance plans stay in line with how you train — Building a maintenance week after the week had already started could collapse the rest of the week into a few tiny easy runs, even if you were already training normally and asked for harder work. Remaining days now keep a sensible amount of running, including quality sessions when your week already has the volume for them.
v1.15.15
Aug 18, 2026
Fixed
- The right recorded activity is linked to your plan — If you logged more than one run on the same day, a short extra session could get paired with the planned workout instead of the similar-distance one. Matching now picks the closest fit, and if you unlink an activity it stays unlinked when you come back. A later activity that day can still take an open auto-match slot.
v1.15.14
Aug 18, 2026
Fixed
- The Road matches the sport you planned — Logged kilometres on your chapter timeline were adding every run, ride, and swim in the week, so a marathon plan could look over target because of an extra bike. The bar now follows the sports that week actually planned. Yoga and other unplanned sessions no longer inflate the session count.
v1.15.13
Aug 15, 2026
Changed
- Session notes only on planned workouts — You can leave how-it-felt notes on an activity when it is matched to a planned session, so those notes can shape your next week. Unmatched activities no longer show the feedback form.
- Activities from Strava show up sooner — After you finish a run or ride and it lands on Strava, it now appears in Build Your Legend within about a minute instead of waiting up to fifteen minutes. You no longer need to open the app to kick off the sync.
v1.15.9
Aug 10, 2026
Fixed
- Shared workout graphics now show how the session actually ran — The bar chart on your branded Strava image drew every work segment at the same height, so a progression run looked identical to a steady effort. Bars now rise and fall with the paces (or heart-rate zones) your session prescribed, so a progression ramps up, mixed efforts step, and repeats still read as even.
v1.15.8
Aug 10, 2026
Fixed
- Workout distances agree with the description — On easy, recovery, and long runs, the distance written inside a phase description now matches the distance shown for that phase, so a session can no longer say "9 km" on one line and "6 km" in the next sentence.
v1.15.7
Aug 7, 2026
Added
- Bike sessions now tell you the effort, not just the distance — Every ride now spells out the training zone, how hard it should feel out of 10, and a resistance and cadence cue, along with how long to ride for. If you train on a stationary bike with only a tension knob and no distance or speed readout, you can now follow the whole session from effort and time.
Changed
- Rides and runs show how long they should take — Planned sessions now carry a session time alongside their distance, so you know what you are committing to before you start.
v1.15.6
Aug 7, 2026
Fixed
- No more "build your week" prompt when a plan is already underway — Opening the site while a weekly plan was still generating elsewhere (or before your week had finished loading) could pop up the plan builder as if nothing existed. The prompt now waits until it knows the week is truly empty, and skips weeks that are already being built.
v1.15.5
Aug 7, 2026
Fixed
- Signing in no longer gets stuck after a failed attempt — If an earlier attempt to sign in with Strava ended in an error, coming back and trying again could keep failing for the same account. Each sign-in now starts fresh.
v1.15.4
Aug 5, 2026
Fixed
- Interval distances in activity summaries read correctly — When your AI activity description mentioned rep or interval distances (like "5 x 1 km"), they could be rewritten to show your whole run distance instead. Those smaller distances now stay accurate, while genuine unit mix-ups are still corrected.
v1.15.2
Aug 4, 2026
Fixed
- Projected volume no longer dips mid-week — Your chapter's projected line was measuring the week you are still in against its full target, so partway through the week it looked like you had badly missed and the rest of the block collapsed with it. The projection now only responds to weeks that have finished, and builds from what your current week actually prescribes.
- Next week's targets keep their volume — Generating an upcoming week's plan before the current one finished could set that week's volume from a half-finished week, prescribing far less training than intended.
v1.15.0
Aug 3, 2026
Added
- Your plan adapts to what you actually did — Each week now compares your recorded training against what was planned and adjusts the week ahead. Go beyond the plan and your next week builds a little faster; fall short and it eases back instead of piling on volume you could not reach.
- Every sport adapts on its own — Running, cycling, swimming, and strength each adjust from their own numbers. A big ride never cuts into your running, and a missed swim never touches your long run.
Changed
- The projected line moves with you — Your chapter's projected volume now re-shapes from where you actually are toward your peak, so the road ahead stays realistic instead of assuming a week you never ran.
- Adjustments stay gentle — Week-to-week changes are damped and capped, so one unusual week cannot swing your plan dramatically. Your chapter's peak target stays exactly where it was set.
Fixed
- Long runs no longer block your weekly plan — Some long runs with a progressive finish could stop that week's plan from being generated. Those sessions are now corrected automatically.
- Redoing an earlier week leaves the rest of your plan alone — Regenerating a week you have already trained through no longer reshapes your upcoming weeks.
1.14.x
4 releases
v1.14.3
Aug 2, 2026
Changed
- What's new prompts less often — The in-app release notes popup now appears when a new minor version lands, not for every small patch update. You can still open the full changelog anytime from Settings or the website.
- Current chapter hero opens your chapter — On the Chapters page, tap the active chapter card to jump into that block.
- Smoother volume sparks — Recent-training sparklines on chapter rows read a bit larger and cleaner.
Fixed
- Deload badge contrast — The deload label on the chapter journey spine stays readable on the gold chip.
v1.14.2
Aug 2, 2026
Changed
- Chapters list highlights your active block — The Chapters page opens with a hero for your current chapter (week, phase, progress, and recent training), clear empty and maintenance states, and a simpler list of your other chapters with status tags and volume sparks.
Fixed
- Session feedback on activities — When a StrideIQ snapshot is available on an activity, the session feedback section shows again as expected.
v1.14.1
Aug 2, 2026
Changed
- StrideIQ activity feedback focuses on how you ran the plan — When a workout matches your planned session, coaching highlights paces, intervals, and recoveries against what was prescribed, with clearer strengths and watch-fors on the activity screen.
- Weekly coaching looks ahead more clearly — Your weekly StrideIQ summary better carries what you executed into context for next week’s plan.
v1.14.0
Aug 1, 2026
Added
- Session feedback on your activities — After a workout is analyzed, you can leave quick chips and optional notes (typed or spoken) on the activity. Your notes stay on that session and help shape your weekly training analysis and next week’s plan. If you save feedback after that week’s analysis already exists, the analysis refreshes so it can take your notes into account.
1.13.x
25 releases
v1.13.27
Jul 29, 2026
Fixed
- Strava branding graphic matches easy runs — Easy runs no longer show as “Long Run” on the branded workout graphic when you run a bit farther than planned.
v1.13.26
Jul 28, 2026
Added
- Skip goal race in setup — You can finish onboarding without a race and train in maintenance mode until you’re ready to set a chapter.
v1.13.25
Jul 28, 2026
Fixed
- Race calendar date chip — The day number in each race card’s date badge sits higher and more evenly in the box on mobile web.
v1.13.24
Jul 28, 2026
Fixed
- Race Day summit card — Goal finish time is no longer clipped at the bottom of the card.
v1.13.22
Jul 27, 2026
Changed
- Clearer training phase names on your chapter journey — Stages now use the familiar Base, Build, Peak, Taper, and Race week labels everywhere (including plan setup), so the map to race day matches how coaches talk about training. Peak is the hard crest before you taper; Race week is the final week of the block.
v1.13.21
Jul 27, 2026
Fixed
- Recovery rides and swims stay easy — Easy recovery days on the bike or in the pool no longer creep into steady zone-2 work when the plan called for true recovery.
- Strength days are clearer and lighter when they should be — Strength sessions now spell out sets and reps more clearly, and avoid heavy leg loading when the week asks you to keep legs fresh for a key run.
- Progressive long runs keep the distance honest — Long runs with a pick-up finish no longer overshoot the planned kilometres by stacking the finish on top of the main block.
v1.13.20
Jul 27, 2026
Added
- Tell us what’s wrong when you rebuild a week — When you replace an existing weekly plan, you can optionally explain what isn’t working. The new plan is built with that feedback in mind, along with your current week’s workouts and training context.
Changed
- Rebuilt weeks listen more carefully to your notes — Replacement plans take your reason and the previous week into account, so the coach is less likely to hand you back the same shape you asked to change.
v1.13.19
Jul 27, 2026
Fixed
- Ready-to-build week recap no longer counts hikes and walks — The last-7-days distance, session count, and daily volume chart now only include Run, Ride, Swim, and strength sessions, same as the rest of your chapter. GPS-noisy hikes no longer inflate the chart before you generate a week.
v1.13.18
Jul 26, 2026
Fixed
- Projected mileage no longer rewrites your past weeks — Mid-chapter, the projected curve could jump up and redraw earlier weeks as if you had started the block at today's volume. Past and current weeks now stay locked to your real plan history; only future weeks ramp forward with normal guardrails.
- Changing your goal time keeps your build so far intact — Updating race day or target time could wipe the whole chapter plan and rebuild from week one. It now keeps the weeks you've already trained through and only rebuilds what lies ahead.
v1.13.17
Jul 26, 2026
Fixed
- Activity summaries use the right distance — Some StrideIQ activity write-ups showed distance ten or a thousand times too high when converting meters to kilometres. Summaries now use the correct km value.
v1.13.16
Jul 26, 2026
Changed
- Strength workout share graphic — Strength & conditioning activities now get a clearer branded graphic: logo up top, a fixed Strength & Conditioning headline, your session focus in gold, workout time, and calories when Strava provides them.
v1.13.15
Jul 24, 2026
Fixed
- Regenerating one week no longer rewrites your whole mileage projection — Asking for a fresh plan for the current week could suddenly lift the rest of your chapter's projected kilometres (sometimes by a lot). Regenerating a single week now only rebuilds that week, so the road map ahead stays where it was.
- Recovery weeks before your taper now cut volume properly — A late recovery week could still show the same peak mileage as the weeks around it. Those cutback weeks now sit clearly below the surrounding load weeks, so the taper starts from a true recovery rather than another peak.
v1.13.13
Jul 22, 2026
Fixed
- Your road map and volume chart now agree on upcoming weeks — On a chapter's overview, the projected weekly distance shown for future weeks on "The Road" could differ from the projection curve in the volume chart just below it. Both now read from the same forecast, so the kilometres you see for a week ahead match wherever you look.
v1.13.12
Jul 22, 2026
Fixed
- A failed weekly plan now tells you what to do next — If building your week ran into a problem, you could see a wall of technical detail instead of a plain explanation. It now shows a short, clear message and a reference code you can share with support if it keeps happening.
v1.13.11
Jul 22, 2026
Changed
- Your plan now tracks the training you're actually doing, not just where you started — Your target volume used to be set once at the start of a chapter and never revisited, so weeks of running more or less than planned had no effect on how far the plan would build. It's now recalculated every week from your recent training. A cutback is reflected right away; a jump up in volume raises the target too, but gradually, so one big week doesn't reshape the rest of your build overnight.
v1.13.9
Jul 22, 2026
Fixed
- Very short sessions now generate reliably — A light maintenance day or a short technique swim could fail to generate a plan for that week at all: the warm-up and cool-down couldn't be reconciled with such a short session, and the app would keep retrying and giving up. Short sessions now build correctly no matter how brief the workout is.
v1.13.8
Jul 21, 2026
Changed
- Your own peak target now builds up to safely — Setting a peak higher than your build can safely reach used to stretch the whole curve to meet it, which pushed almost all of the increase into week one. Your target is now built toward at the fastest safe rate and the plan tops out wherever that lands, so the first week always starts close to your current running. A target within reach is still hit exactly.
v1.13.7
Jul 21, 2026
Fixed
- Your plan now starts from the running you're actually doing — A new chapter could open with a first week far above your recent training, sometimes close to double it, and still call it base building. Weekly distances were being written without any reference to your own volume. Every week now comes from your baseline and your peak, so the plan starts where you are and builds from there.
- Deload weeks line up with the weeks that actually ease off — The recovery weeks marked on your plan could sit on different weeks than the ones the plan reduced volume for. They're now always the same weeks.
v1.13.6
Jul 21, 2026
Fixed
- Early access features now reach everyone they were meant for — If you had been given early access to something still rolling out, it could stay hidden anyway. Access now applies as intended, and is no longer affected by small differences in how your email address was written.
v1.13.5
Jul 21, 2026
Fixed
- Rearranging your training week now saves every change — Moving several sessions one after another only kept the last one. The others appeared to move, then quietly returned to their original day the next time the week loaded, with nothing to tell you the change hadn't stuck. Every move in a reshuffle now saves, including the one you make just before navigating away.
- Last week's recap now measures against the right days — The completion figure on your weekly plan card lined each planned session up against the wrong day, and counted any activity that day as a match no matter what was actually prescribed. It now checks each session on the day it was scheduled, and against the kind of session it was, so the number reflects the week you actually had.
- Coming back from a break is recognised sooner — Running you had already done in the current week wasn't counted when working out how much you'd been training lately, so someone freshly back to regular running could still be treated as starting from scratch and given a cautious starter week. Recent training now counts from the day you do it.
v1.13.4
Jul 21, 2026
Fixed
- The rep count on a workout card now matches the workout — A session could be headlined "6 × 1 km" while the description right below it prescribed 7 km of 1 km segments, or "4 ×" over an 8 km fartlek that four rounds don't come close to covering. The headline is now worked out from the distance the session actually prescribes, so the two always agree.
- Alternating-pace workouts send both halves to your watch — A fartlek written as "2 min hard, then 3 min at threshold" exported only the 2 minutes hard; the threshold half of every cycle was missing from the workout on your watch and from the preview in the app. Every leg of the cycle now comes through, each at its own target pace.
- Interval sessions stay intervals on your watch — Some threshold sessions were exported as one long continuous block instead of the reps and recoveries described on the card. They now export as the intervals you were prescribed.
v1.13.3
Jul 21, 2026
Added
- A heads-up when your goal needs more runway — If your race asks for more weekly volume than you can safely build to in the time you have, your build now says so up front: what the distance typically needs, what you can safely reach, and what your options are. Your plan still shows the safe build rather than pushing you past it.
Fixed
- Peak volume when you're starting from a smaller base — Runners building from modest weekly mileage were shown peak targets far below what they could actually reach, sometimes only a few kilometres above where they started. Builds now ramp properly from any starting volume, and starting from scratch no longer behaves differently than starting small.
- Your most recent training week now counts — Starting a chapter late in the week no longer leaves that week out of your starting volume, which could halve it and pull the whole plan down with it.
- Builds now peak at the end, not the middle — A recovery week landing too close to the taper could cap a plan below its own peak, so the biggest week fell mid-build instead of right before race prep.
- The projected curve matches your peak target — The build now tops out at exactly the peak shown, instead of a few kilometres under it.
- Manual peak targets stay put — Setting your own peak now holds on your chapter page instead of being quietly pulled back toward the automatic suggestion.
- Cross-training keeps its place — Supporting work like strength training no longer gets squeezed toward zero as your main sport ramps up.
- Your last 7 days show up before you build a week — The recap on the "Ready to build your week" card was always blank on a chapter week, showing 0 km and no sessions even when you had trained. It now shows your real distance, sessions and daily bars, and says so plainly when the recap can't be loaded instead of reporting zero.
v1.13.2
Jul 20, 2026
Fixed
- Recovery and injury weeks stay easy — When a week is meant for recovery or you're managing an injury, weekly plans no longer slip in hard quality sessions like threshold or fartlek work.
- Training-day preferences respected — If you prefer fewer training days per week, plan repair no longer fills empty days past that preference just to hit volume.
- Easy sessions stay easy — Sessions demoted to easy keep an easy title and description instead of still reading like a quality workout.
- Tune-up race dates — Supporting races must fall between your chapter start and goal race, with clearer validation when a date is out of range.
v1.13.1
Jul 17, 2026
Fixed
- Last 7 days recap on maintenance weeks — The "Ready to build your week" card now shows your actual training from the past week (distance, sessions, easy/hard split, and daily volume) on maintenance weeks. Previously it always showed 0 km and empty bars, even when you had recent activities.
v1.13.0
Jul 15, 2026
Added
- Strava workout branding — After a run, ride, or strength session is analyzed, you can apply a Build Your Legend title, description, and branded graphic to the activity on Strava. Preview everything before it goes live, edit the text if you want, and save the graphic to attach as your activity photo.
Changed
- Smarter workout matching — Planned sessions pair more reliably with the activity you actually logged when names or distances differ, so branding and plan context reflect the right session.
Fixed
- Branded graphics respect your sport — Rides, runs, and strength sessions each get the right headline, label, and chart style instead of defaulting to a generic easy run.
1.12.x
1 release
v1.12.0
Jul 13, 2026
Added
- Progression long runs on your watch — Long runs that finish with a build toward race pace now carry that structure to your watch: the steady portion keeps its steady target, and the closing kilometres become stepped targets that guide you gradually down to your goal pace instead of one flat target for the whole run.
Fixed
- Scaled-down runs read consistently — When a week's volume brings an easy or long run down from its originally drafted distance, the workout text and watch steps now match the distance on the card instead of describing the longer, pre-adjustment run.
- "Full recovery" between reps — Speed sessions can now prescribe full recovery between repetitions (standard for short, fast reps); these sessions no longer fail plan generation or push an invented rest length to your watch.
- Weekly progress rows — Activities of the same sport logged under slightly different names no longer appear as duplicate rows in your weekly progress; they are combined into one line per sport.
1.11.x
13 releases
v1.11.17
Jul 12, 2026
Changed
- Trial countdown banner — If your free trial was extended beyond the usual 30 days, the upgrade reminder now appears only during the final month before it ends. Standard 30-day trials still show the banner throughout, including the urgent countdown in the last week.
v1.11.16
Jul 12, 2026
Fixed
- Weekly plans finish more reliably — Plan generation is less likely to fail when you regenerate a week or train on only a few days. Easy-run distances now stay consistent in the calendar, strength sessions no longer trip interval checks meant for running workouts, and low-volume weeks still get a proper long run when your chapter expects one.
- Maintenance plans for the rest of this week — When you generate a maintenance plan mid-week, the week’s targets and sessions now account for what you have already completed since Monday instead of treating the full week as empty.
- Cycling maintenance weeks — Maintenance plans that include bike sessions are less likely to fail during generation when workout distances need to line up across warm-up, main set, and cool-down.
- Onboarding on Sunday — If you finish onboarding on the last day of the week, you are no longer asked to generate a maintenance week for a day that is already over; your chapter simply starts the following Monday.
- Gender in onboarding and settings — Your sex pre-fills from your saved athlete profile or Strava when available, so heart-rate and training defaults start closer to your real profile.
Changed
- Custom supporting sport targets in chapter build — When you set a manual weekly target for a secondary sport, the onboarding volume chart explains more clearly whether that target stays flat or builds toward your peak week.
v1.11.14
Jul 11, 2026
Added
- Redesigned Settings — Everything is grouped into clear sections: account, athlete profile, heart-rate zones, notifications, appearance, units, billing, data sources, and support.
- Personal bests editor in Athlete profile — Review your saved times and add or edit any distance from settings using the same editor as onboarding.
Changed
- Settings navigation — Jump straight to a section from the sidebar; the top bar links to settings from anywhere in the app.
Fixed
- Personal best dates and types — Race results keep their correct label and date instead of defaulting to estimate when metadata was missing.
- Heart-rate zone settings — Age-based max heart rate and zone boundaries update consistently when you change birthday or estimation method.
v1.11.12
Jul 10, 2026
Fixed
- Reminders recognize mobile app usage — If you mainly train with the mobile app, workout reminders and similar emails now treat that as recent activity instead of only counting time on the web.
v1.11.11
Jul 10, 2026
Fixed
- Long runs anchored to what you've actually run — Your weekly long run now progresses from the longest run you've genuinely completed recently, not only from what a previous plan prescribed. So the opening week of a new chapter — or a week after you've been running less than planned — no longer serves up a long run far beyond your recent distance; the week-to-week increase stays gradual and realistic.
v1.11.10
Jul 10, 2026
Fixed
- Planned session distances that add up — A run session's total distance now always matches the warm-up, main set, and cool-down listed beneath it. Before, a session could show one total (say, 12 km) while its parts clearly summed to another (3 km warm-up + 8 km of intervals + 3 km cool-down = 14 km); the plan now reconciles the two before you see it, so interval days in particular read consistently.
Changed
- Clearer interval recoveries — Interval sessions now always spell out the recovery between reps — a set time or distance, or that the reps run continuously — instead of leaving it unstated.
v1.11.8
Jul 8, 2026
Fixed
- Sensible targets for rides and swims — Cycling and swim sessions in your weekly plan no longer borrow running paces as targets. They now describe intensity the way those sports actually work — effort and zone language like "zone 2 steady" — instead of a per-kilometre run pace that made no sense on a bike.
- More reliable plans on race week — Generating your plan for the week of a goal race is more robust; a few edge cases that could make the whole week fail to build now recover automatically, and race day itself is kept clear as intended.
Changed
- Cleaner workout reminder emails — The daily workout email now only labels a session's effort when it genuinely knows it (a heart-rate zone or a clearly easy day) instead of tagging anything with intervals as "quality". Divider spacing in the email was also tidied up.
v1.11.7
Jul 5, 2026
Fixed
- No more missing Strava activities — Activities no longer slip through the cracks when a lot of them sync at once. Each activity now stays in the sync queue until it's confirmed saved in the app, so a busy sync burst can't silently drop anything anymore.
Changed
- Smoother syncing of large backlogs — When many activities are waiting to sync (for example after reconnecting Strava), the app now brings them in steadily over successive sync cycles instead of all at once. Everything arrives — large backlogs just take a few extra minutes to finish instead of failing partway through.
v1.11.6
Jul 4, 2026
Fixed
- Strava activities sync on their own again — New activities recorded on Strava now show up in the app automatically within minutes, even if you haven't opened the app in a while. Previously, syncing could quietly stall until you signed in again — activities that were stuck this way will now appear on their own, no action needed.
- "Sync week" works reliably — Manually refreshing a week from the app no longer fails when your Strava connection hasn't been used recently.
v1.11.4
Jul 1, 2026
Fixed
- Accurate distance on interval workouts — Threshold and interval runs now show the real distance you'll cover. Previously the main-set distance for time-based intervals (like 6 × 8 min at threshold pace) was estimated too low; it now reflects the actual ground covered by the intervals and recovery jogs, and the workout's total distance updates to match.
- Truer weekly mileage — Because interval sessions are now measured accurately, your weekly volume adds up correctly and your easy runs are balanced around it, so weeks with interval work stay on your intended mileage instead of quietly running long.
v1.11.3
Jun 30, 2026
Fixed
- Apple Watch workouts with a single pace — Sending a planned workout to your Apple Watch no longer fails when a step targets one exact pace. The pace target is sent as a small range so your watch accepts it.
v1.11.2
Jun 29, 2026
Fixed
- Chapter progress — The percentage on your chapter overview and on the weekly build view now match. Progress advances by calendar day from the start of your chapter through race day, reaching 100% on the day of your event.
v1.11.1
Jun 29, 2026
Changed
- Editing your goal race rebuilds your plan — When you change your goal race's distance, date, or target time, your upcoming weekly workouts now refresh to match the new goal instead of keeping the old ones. Past weeks are left as they were.
- Sharper goal-pace coaching — For shorter goal races, your workouts now anchor to your goal race pace so the prescribed efforts line up with what you're training for.
Fixed
- Clearer workout names — Long runs that finish at race pace stay labeled as long runs instead of being mislabeled as interval sessions.
1.10.x
5 releases
v1.10.4
Jun 28, 2026
Fixed
- Maintenance and weekly plans — Plans now respect the sports you selected. If you only chose running, the week will not add bike rides or gym sessions just because you have logged them on Strava before.
v1.10.3
Jun 24, 2026
Changed
- Weekly plan layout — When you train a set number of days per week, rest days are spread across the week instead of stacking together on the weekend. Long runs from your chapter notes (for example “long runs on weekends”) land on the right day more consistently.
- Plan regeneration progress — Smoother progress and clearer stage labels while a weekly plan is rebuilding, including when you regenerate from the chapter week view.
Fixed
- Weekly plan regeneration — Longer-running plan builds are less likely to fail partway through, especially when the week includes many coached sessions.
v1.10.2
Jun 24, 2026
Fixed
- Chapter volume chart — Run chapters now always keep running in your activity list during onboarding, so the projected running curve and Run tab show correctly on your chapter overview when you also train with cycling or weights.
v1.10.1
Jun 24, 2026
Changed
- Plan regeneration — A clearer progress screen while your weekly plan is being rebuilt, including in dark mode.
Fixed
- Maintenance run plans — When you ask for more training days, extra days are filled with runs; strength stays paired with a run instead of taking a day on its own.
- Long run progression — Long runs ramp more safely from your recent training instead of jumping ahead when you're already in shape.
- Move planned workouts — Dragging a session to another day on your calendar now saves reliably for every week of your plan.
v1.10.0
Jun 21, 2026
Added
- Road & trail races — Mark any race in your calendar as road or trail. Trail races capture elevation gain so their climbing counts toward your weekly volume.
- Custom race distances — Choose “Other” to enter any distance when a preset doesn’t match your race.
Changed
- Race calendar — Refreshed the add-a-race form to match onboarding, with a clearer chapter-race card on your chapter overview.
- Volume progression — The projected volume curve is now consistent everywhere it appears and shows for every chapter, including older ones.
- Chapter overview — Tightened spacing between sections for an easier read.
1.9.x
1 release
v1.9.0
Jun 14, 2026
Added
- Redesigned onboarding — Setup is organized into four clear phases (You, Your fitness, Your chapter, Your plan) with a guided intro and smoother progress through each step.
- First-week launch — After setup, generate your opening training week right from onboarding instead of landing on an empty week.
- Races and training context — Add tune-up races, describe your training in your own words, and review your typical week before your plan is built.
Changed
- Volume progression — Peak training targets are capped to what you can realistically reach in your chapter timeline, with clearer feedback when a goal is adjusted.
- Return to training — Plans after time off start more conservatively and ramp intensity as your weekly mileage rebuilds.
- Maintenance planning — Recent activity is weighted more accurately when building maintenance weeks.
Fixed
- Training phase bars — Taper and build phases on shorter plans now reflect race distance and week count more accurately.
1.8.x

v1.8.21
Jun 9, 2026
Added
- Activity synced alerts on mobile — When a new Strava workout finishes syncing, your phone can get a notification that opens that activity in the app.
Changed
- Mobile reminder notifications — Daily and weekly reminder pushes open the right screen when you tap them on your phone (your week plan or Activities).
v1.8.20
Jun 9, 2026
Changed
- Weekly planning reminder — Your "sync and plan your week" reminder now arrives Sunday evening instead of Sunday morning, so you can set up the week ahead right before it starts. Daily workout reminders are unchanged.
v1.8.19
Jun 8, 2026
Changed
- Weekly plan generator — A cleaner, more focused plan setup. The maintenance focus is now a dropdown, sports are quick tap-to-toggle pills, and the context suggestions are refreshed. Extra labels and helper text were trimmed so the essentials stand out.
- Generate plan empty state — Streamlined the "Ready to build your week" card down to what matters. The button always opens plan setup, so you can review and add context before your plan is generated.
v1.8.18
Jun 7, 2026
Added
- Custom race distance — When adding a tune-up or goal race, choose Other and enter any distance in kilometers instead of picking from presets only.
- Early-closed chapters — If you close a chapter before race day, weeks after the close date are greyed out on the journey timeline and volume chart so it is clear those weeks were never trained toward the goal.
Changed
- Chapter progress — Progress on the overview and week view now advances day by day through the current week instead of jumping only at week boundaries.
- Auto-generate weekly plan — The plan generator only opens automatically Monday through Thursday for the current week, so you are not prompted to build a plan late in the week when it is less useful.
- Generate plan empty state — A richer card on chapter weeks with no plan yet shows your phase, what StrideIQ will build, and a clearer call to generate.
- Weekly plans — When your week has room, cross-training sessions (strength, rides, swims) spread onto their own days instead of stacking on run days when unnecessary.
Fixed
- Heart rate zones — Training zones calculate correctly when your Strava profile does not include a gender.
- Regenerate weekly plan — Replacing a plan clears leftover calendar entries from the previous version of that week instead of leaving orphaned workouts on days the new plan no longer uses.
v1.8.17
Jun 5, 2026
Added
- Auto-generate weekly plan — On chapter and maintenance weeks, opening the current week with no plan yet automatically opens the plan generator so you can start right away.
- Return to the app — If you finish chapter setup from the mobile app in the browser, you are sent back to the app when setup completes.
Changed
- After onboarding — Finishing setup now takes you to your Build dashboard instead of a chapter week that may not have started yet.
v1.8.16
Jun 2, 2026
Added
- Chapter overview — Your chapter home now opens with a countdown to race day, training progress across phases, and quick stats for sessions, distance, and hours logged so far.
Changed
- Chapter journey — A week-by-week spine shows each training block with planned volume, recorded mileage, focus, and deload weeks; tap a week to expand the day-by-day plan and jump straight into that week.
- Race calendar — Upcoming and completed tune-up races appear in a dedicated calendar on the chapter overview.
- Sign in and sign up — Mobile layout centers the brand story above the form; error messages use clearer styling, and privacy copy explains how Strava data is used.
- Goal time entry — Target times now accept the format that matches your race distance (for example minutes and seconds for a 5K, hours for a marathon).
- Training phase bars — Phase breakdowns on shorter plans and during onboarding now add up correctly instead of showing empty segments.
- Fitness targets — Plans no longer aim below your current fitness when a goal time would imply a lower level; training stays focused on maintaining or improving from where you are today.
- Weekly plans — Cross-training sessions can stack on days that already have a different sport, so strength, rides, and swims fit more naturally within your training-day limit.
Fixed
- Finished chapters — After race day, the overview shows 100% progress and marks all weeks complete instead of stalling on the final week.
v1.8.15
May 31, 2026
Changed
- Regenerate weekly plan — Before replacing an existing plan, you get a clear in-app confirmation with the week’s date range instead of a browser popup.
- Weekly plan coaching — Plans may include short strides on easy runs during base and build weeks, and occasional progressive long runs in peak training blocks.
v1.8.14
May 31, 2026
Changed
- Weeks without a plan — Chapter and maintenance weeks now use the same weekly layout as planned weeks: progress summary, week at a glance, and day-by-day breakdown, so you can review logged training even before generating a plan.
- Weekly Progress — When there is no plan for the week, charts show your recorded volume and effort only, without comparison gauges against a target.
- Week at a Glance — Headings and descriptions reflect logged sessions when there is no plan, instead of instructions to drag workouts to reschedule.
Fixed
- Matching recorded activities — The match control no longer appears on logged activities when there is no planned workout to link them to.
v1.8.13
May 31, 2026
Fixed
- Maintenance week volume — Athletes who are already running consistent weekly mileage no longer get maintenance plans capped at a return-to-training ceiling; your plan reflects your real baseline again.
v1.8.11
May 30, 2026
Added
- Mobile onboarding handoff — When you finish account setup from the native app, the browser opens already signed in so you can complete onboarding without signing in or connecting Strava again.
Changed
- Maintenance week hero — The date range at the top of a maintenance week is shown without the extra “MAINTENANCE” and plan-status labels, matching a cleaner hero layout.
v1.8.10
May 30, 2026
Changed
- Sign in and sign up — The login and registration screen has a refreshed split layout on desktop: brand story on the left, form on the right, with centered content, proper logo and headline typography, and a live StrideIQ preview. On phones, the logo stays at the top, the form scrolls when needed, and the sign-up stepper highlights the Strava connection step.
v1.8.9
May 30, 2026
Changed
- Collapsed sidebar — The narrow rail is wider, shows a centered icon logo instead of a cropped wordmark, and keeps nav icons aligned so the collapsed layout is easier to scan and tap.
v1.8.8
May 30, 2026
Fixed
- Maintenance week planning — Generating a plan for an upcoming maintenance week no longer overwrites your current week. The week shown in the generator is the week that gets saved, and if a plan is still generating when you change weeks, you’ll see a clear status message instead of a silent mix-up.
Changed
- Regenerating an existing maintenance plan — You’ll be asked to confirm before replacing a plan you already have for that week.
v1.8.7
May 30, 2026
Changed
- Week at a Glance calendar — When a logged activity matches a planned workout, the two cards now stack together with a small link badge on the seam so you can see the pairing at a glance. Hover the badge to unmatch, same as in the day-by-day view below.
v1.8.6
May 30, 2026
Changed
- Training week on mobile — Weekly Progress, Week at a Glance, and day-by-day sections now share the same header divider and spacing, with less empty gap between Weekly Progress and the calendar so the week view reads as one continuous page on your phone.
v1.8.5
May 30, 2026
Fixed
- Mobile browser layout — The top bar (menu, notifications, profile) and bottom of long pages now respect the phone’s safe areas on iPhone and similar devices, so controls are no longer clipped under the status bar or home indicator when using Safari.
Changed
- Onboarding and sign-in screens — Full-height onboarding and login flows use the same safe-area padding so headers and footers stay reachable on notched phones.
v1.8.4
May 30, 2026
Changed
- Past week toolbars — Regenerate is hidden on past chapter and maintenance weeks; sync remains available where it already was.
v1.8.3
May 29, 2026
Changed
- Chapter volume projections for cross-training — On run-focused chapters, projected weekly cycling and other secondary sports now taper in the race-taper weeks the same way as your primary build, instead of staying flat through the end of the block.
Fixed
- Macro plan volume targets — Stored weekly volume targets for active chapters can be rebuilt from current baseline and peak volumes so planned totals match what you see on the projected curve (including athletes whose chapter was created before recent planning fixes).
v1.8.2
May 29, 2026
Changed
- Return-to-training rules for chapter plans — Chapter weekly plans and re-generated chapter training blocks now use the same conservative rules as maintenance: athletes with very low recent running get a ~9 km baseline, easier first weeks on the macro plan, and intensity limits tied to planned weekly distance (no hard workouts on the lowest-volume weeks).
Fixed
- Background plan jobs — Scheduled and on-demand plan generation no longer fail immediately after deploy, so chapter plans, activity sync, and weekly plan jobs run reliably.
- Chapter plan after time off — Re-running your chapter plan no longer leaves an inflated default baseline on the chapter when you have not been running recently.
v1.8.1
May 29, 2026
Added
- Upcoming chapter start banner — A banner on the home week when your next chapter starts soon, so you can see what is coming without opening chapter settings.
- Return-to-training maintenance plans — Athletes coming back after little or no recent running get a conservative first week (~9 km easy running) instead of a full load week with hard sessions.
Changed
- Maintenance intensity by planned volume — Planned weekly running distance now caps hard workouts: below 10 km, easy runs only; below 18 km, at most one moderate or long session; at or above 18 km, up to two hard sessions as before.
- Maintenance training-day limits — Weekly plan regeneration respects your maximum training-days cap, including when easy recovery runs are added.
Fixed
- Activity history accuracy — Your recent volume and plans no longer include workouts that were incorrectly stored on your account.
- Maintenance plan generation — Fixed failures when a low training-days cap would have scheduled more days than allowed.
v1.8.0
May 29, 2026
Added
- Training days per week — When creating or editing a chapter, you can optionally say how many days you train each week (1–7). Weekly plan generation uses that preference so workouts fit your schedule; leave it blank to let the plan decide.
- Regenerate plan: training days this week — The weekly regenerate dialog includes an optional one-week override for how many distinct training days to schedule, prefilled from your chapter when set.
Changed
- Run chapter weekly volume — On run-focused chapters, the headline weekly volume on the calendar and week views shows running kilometers only, so a logged ride or other cross-training no longer inflates the number you read as your running total.
- Volume progression — Deload weeks and load-week increase limits are tuned by experience level so modest starting volumes can still build toward realistic race peaks within a normal training block.
- Older chapters without baseline data — Plan generation can infer starting volume from your recent activity history when a chapter was created before baseline volume was saved, and refresh stored volume projections when that baseline was previously zero.
Fixed
- Weekly running volume in plans — Prescribed run kilometers align more closely with the week’s running target, including better long-run share and easier-run balance on run-primary weeks.
- Peak volume calculation — More reliable peak targets when rebuilding chapter volume curves from activity history or repaired baselines.
1.7.x
8 releases
v1.7.7
May 27, 2026
Changed
- Chapter weekly volume chart — Hovering a week now shows a crosshair and summary card with recorded, planned, and projected values; week labels align with bar and line markers for easier reading.
v1.7.6
May 27, 2026
Fixed
- Onboarding birthday — Birthday entry now validates that your age is between 10 and 100 years, with clearer feedback when the date is out of range. The date picker limits choices to that range so invalid birthdays are harder to select by mistake.
v1.7.5
May 27, 2026
Fixed
- Onboarding profile save — Personal details, VDOT profile updates, and chapter setup save reliably instead of failing silently on some accounts.
- Onboarding errors — If profile save fails, the form shows the server’s message when available instead of a generic retry prompt.
Changed
- Login and sign-up on phones — The sign-in card keeps rounded top corners on small screens and no longer shows an extra rounded bottom edge; horizontal padding on the login page starts at large breakpoints so tablet layouts stay edge-to-edge.
- Onboarding and login height — Full-screen flows use the dynamic viewport height so content fits better when the mobile browser chrome shows or hides.
- Onboarding safe areas — Bottom padding respects the device safe area on notched phones.
- Mobile browser chrome — The browser status bar and theme color match Build Your Legend red, with edge-to-edge layout support on notched devices.
v1.7.4
May 27, 2026
Changed
- Weekly progress chart hover behavior — The day crosshair and insight card now stay anchored to each day’s plotted point, including the week edges, so values are easier to read without tooltip drift.
- Weekly actions on larger screens — The Regenerate plan button keeps its natural width on desktop and tablet layouts instead of stretching unexpectedly.
v1.7.3
May 26, 2026
Changed
- Chapter volume progression — The peak-progress ring now shows baseline and peak targets for each sport you selected (for example Run, Ride, Swim, Strength) with the correct units, instead of a single combined total.
v1.7.2
May 26, 2026
Fixed
- Activity dates and times — Activities list, activity cards, and the activity detail page now show the same local start time and calendar day you logged on Strava, instead of shifting with your browser timezone.
v1.7.1
May 26, 2026
Changed
- Day-by-day week view — Match and unmatch actions move to the connector between planned and recorded sessions; pace and zone chips wrap on narrow widths; planned detail headers read more cleanly.
- Status toasts — Toast width grows with short messages again, up to a comfortable maximum, instead of staying fixed at one size.
v1.7.0
May 25, 2026
Added
- Key set nutshell on planned workouts — Interval, threshold, and steady sessions now show a compact main-set summary (for example “5 x 5 min @ 3:25/km”) on the weekly calendar, week-at-a-glance cards, and workout detail modals. New plans store this directly; older plans are filled in from the written description when possible.
Changed
- Activity cards and recent feed — Sport-specific icons replace emoji on activity cards and the dashboard recent-activities list, with clearer sport variants for trail runs, virtual rides, open-water swims, strength, yoga, hike, and winter sports.
- Week at a glance — Planned and recorded day cards use refined hover and layout styling; duration labels normalize “minutes” to “min”.
- Regenerate plan — Toolbar regenerate actions use the same black button styling on the calendar and weekly progress header.
- Status toasts — Toasts have a fixed width, and dismissible toasts show a close control.
1.6.x
11 releases
v1.6.10
May 23, 2026
Changed
- Status toasts — Slightly wider layout so longer messages are easier to read at a glance.
v1.6.9
May 22, 2026
Changed
- Weekly plan generator — The generate card and StrideIQ plan modal now extend edge-to-edge on phones for a fuller, more immersive layout; rounded corners and shadow return on larger screens.
v1.6.8
May 20, 2026
Changed
- Week at a glance — Redesigned seven-day grid with sport icons, clearer planned vs matched vs unmatched cards, and drag-to-reschedule on touch devices as well as desktop.
- Chapter week navigation — Previous/next week controls use larger tap targets and styling aligned with the maintenance week bar.
Added
- Maintenance drag-to-reschedule — You can drag planned workouts between days on maintenance weeks; changes save automatically after you drop.
Fixed
- Chapter week drag-to-reschedule — Dragging planned workouts between days works consistently across chapter week views.
v1.6.7
May 19, 2026
Changed
- Week plan actions — Sync week and Regenerate plan now share the same compact toolbar styling on the calendar and weekly progress views, with icons on larger screens.
- Regenerate plan placement — Regenerate is available from the weekly progress header instead of a separate card at the bottom of the week-at-a-glance layout.
Fixed
- Weekly training summary — The chapter week view now picks up StrideIQ summaries that finish generating in the background after you open the page.
v1.6.6
May 19, 2026
Added
- Mobile app — Native iOS and Android apps are supported, including Strava sign-in and secure sessions on your phone.
- Push notifications — Morning workout reminders and Sunday weekly plan summaries are now delivered as push notifications to your phone in addition to email.
- Desktop/mobile changelog — The changelog page now has separate tabs for the web app and the mobile app.
v1.6.5
May 18, 2026
Added
- Redesigned weekly plan generator — Chapter and maintenance weeks now open a StrideIQ-branded modal with week context (chapter name and phase, or maintenance mode), optional context chips, and a clearer generate flow.
- Maintenance multisport planning — When generating a maintenance week, choose which sports to include (run, bike, swim, strength). Volume targets and plan constraints follow your selection and recent training in each sport.
Changed
- Maintenance focus picker — Training focus is chosen with tap-to-select chips inside the generator modal instead of a separate header strip or dropdown.
- Maintenance regenerate — Regenerate reopens the same modal and pre-fills your saved focus and context notes when a plan already exists.
Fixed
- Plan generation reliability — StrideIQ handles a wider range of workout descriptions when building your week, so generation is less likely to fail on edge cases.
v1.6.4
May 18, 2026
Added
- StrideIQ weekly plan recap card — When you have not generated a plan yet for the current chapter or maintenance week, a new card summarizes your last seven days of training (distance, sessions, easy/hard split, plan match rate, and daily volume bars) and offers Generate my week plus Add context first before you open the planner.
Changed
- Maintenance week empty state — Uses the same StrideIQ recap card as chapter weeks; page background and week navigation bar styling align with the rest of the app shell.
Fixed
- Onboarding summary — Discipline label is readable on the dark summary panel.
- Release notes — “View full changelog” link is centered on small screens.
v1.6.3
May 18, 2026
Changed
- Weekly Progress on mobile — On small screens, sport-by-sport progress now appears as compact horizontal bars with percent complete, current vs target values, and a summary row for sessions, distance, and time. Semicircle gauges remain on tablet and desktop.
v1.6.2
May 17, 2026
Added
- New chapter hero — Chapter overview, week view, and maintenance week now share a unified full-width hero with an activity photo mosaic, responsive large-format title, focus-phase chip, and a stats row showing key numbers at a glance (sessions, kilometres, week progress, and more).
- Sync week button in weekly progress header — A "Sync week" button now lives directly in the Weekly Progress section header so you can trigger a week re-sync without hunting for it in the toolbar.
Changed
- Chapter overview reworked — The overview hero now shows chapter-level aggregate stats (progress %, weeks completed, total sessions, total kilometres) and the active training phase chip. The standalone phase-progression preview card has been removed from this page — phase info lives in the hero.
- Maintenance week hero upgraded — The maintenance week header now shows a real data mosaic and stats (sessions this week, kilometres logged, planned workouts done, avg heart rate) instead of a static dark banner.
- Compact top bar — The navigation bar is noticeably shorter: reduced vertical padding, smaller sidebar toggle and notification bell icons, and breadcrumbs rendered as tighter small-caps text.
- Weekly Progress section redesigned — The section now sits flush to the page (no card wrapper), has a bolder "One week closer to your *legend*" heading with a serif italic accent, and the sync action moved to the header row.
Fixed
- Activity sync toast — The “Processing…” toast clears within 30 seconds even when the tab is in the background or the network drops, instead of staying stuck on screen.
v1.6.1
May 16, 2026
Added
- Race changes auto-regenerate affected weeks — Adding, editing, or removing a tune-up or key secondary race now triggers a confirmation banner ("Race saved — plan update queued") and automatically re-queues plan generation for every week impacted by the change. For a key secondary race that means the surrounding mini-taper and recovery weeks; for a tune-up race, just the race week itself. No need to navigate week-by-week to re-trigger generation.
- Race-aware weekly volume caps — When a tune-up or key secondary race falls in a plan week, StrideIQ™ caps total weekly mileage, long-run distance, and run days for that week. Key secondary race weeks land around 70% of normal volume with no real long run; tune-up race weeks land around 90% with a softer long-run cap.
- Dismissable persistent toasts — Toasts that stay on screen (sync progress, long-running status messages) now show a × button so you can dismiss them manually instead of waiting for the underlying job to finish.
Changed
- New full-screen plan-generation progress overlay — Generating a weekly plan now shows a dedicated full-screen progress card (matching the week re-sync overlay) with a clear progress bar, current step, and percentage — replacing the cramped in-modal spinner.
- Maintenance training focus is now optional — On a maintenance week, you can hit "Generate" without picking a focus first; the plan defaults to General Maintenance. The focus selector is still there if you want to steer the week.
- Maintenance week "Sync activities" now actually syncs — The sync action on a maintenance week with a generated plan was wired to a no-op; it now triggers the same Strava sync as everywhere else.
- Onboarding: chapter setup framed as optional — The first chapter step now explicitly notes you can skip it and set up a goal later — useful for athletes who want to start with maintenance training before committing to a race.
- Cleaner volume-progression chart — The alternative volume progression chart uses a smoother monotone curve and anchors the area-fill baseline to the bottom of the Y range, so the colored bands no longer drop off the chart at low values.
- Tighter loading states — Chapter and week pages now fill the available viewport while loading, instead of compressing into a thin strip on tall screens.
Fixed
- Stuck "Some weeks failed" error after activity sync — The activity sync error banner now auto-clears after 10 seconds instead of remaining on screen until the next refresh.
- Rest days in weekly plans — Rest days and non-endurance events no longer cause plan generation to fail validation.
v1.6.0
May 15, 2026
Added
- Race Calendar — You can now add tune-up and key secondary races to a chapter, both during the setup wizard and at any time from the chapter overview. Each race shows in the sidebar alongside your goal race so you always have the full season in view.
- Two race tiers — Key Secondary Race (B race) tells StrideIQ™ to build a mini-taper before the race and a recovery block after, adjusting your weekly volume. Tune-Up Race (C race) injects the race as a workout with minimal disruption to the surrounding week.
- Race day markers — Days with a scheduled tune-up or key secondary race now appear as a colored badge in the weekly calendar, making it easy to see upcoming races at a glance.
- StrideIQ™-aware race planning — When a tune-up race falls in a plan week, the AI coach automatically adjusts session selection, volume, and intensity around it — no manual override needed.
1.5.x
3 releases
v1.5.2
May 14, 2026
Added
- Feedback & bug reporting — A new Share Feedback button in the sidebar lets you send a message directly to the team. Choose from Bug, Suggestion, or general Feedback; dictate your message by voice; optionally capture a screenshot of the current page (the modal steps aside so only the app is captured); and opt in to including technical details (browser, OS, screen size, current URL) that help with debugging. The same Report this bug shortcut appears on the error page, pre-set to Bug mode.
v1.5.1
May 14, 2026
Added
- What's new — release notes — After you finish onboarding, when there is a new app release since you last dismissed the notes, a scrollable modal summarizes the same highlights as our public changelog. Got it marks you as up to date; you can always open the full changelog on the website in a new tab.
v1.5.0
May 12, 2026
Changed
- Fixed sessions now strictly respected in weekly plans — When you tell StrideIQ about specific committed sessions (run clubs, group trail runs, tournaments, events), those sessions are now locked into your plan at the exact day and distance you stated. The rest of the week is built around them, not the other way around.
- Post-race soreness signal — Mentioning that you are sore or coming off a race now correctly shifts the week to easy intensity and caps the long run, without collapsing your entire weekly volume.
Fixed
- Non-running activities no longer show as runs — Events like squash tournaments, team sports, and other non-endurance activities are now correctly classified and displayed, instead of appearing as running sessions with a distance.
- Stair workouts and rep-based sessions — Rep-based running sessions (stair repeats, hill reps) are now correctly treated as strength-type work and are no longer expected to carry a distance value.
1.4.x

v1.4.29
May 12, 2026
Added
- Maintenance week view — Weeks outside an active chapter now have a dedicated page with a full-width hero, sticky navigation, and week-over-week arrow navigation that flows seamlessly across the chapter/maintenance boundary in both directions.
- Maintenance weekly plan generation — Current maintenance weeks show a "Generate your workouts" card powered by StrideIQ. Training focus (General Maintenance, Speed, Endurance, Recovery, Strength, Race Prep, Injury Return) is chosen inside the generation modal, pre-selected to General Maintenance.
- Activity sync on maintenance and chapter no-plan weeks — A "Sync recorded activities" card is now visible on any week without a plan — whether it is a maintenance week or a chapter week awaiting its first plan. Previously the sync button was only shown on past chapter weeks.
- Past maintenance week activities — Navigating to an older maintenance week now lists the activities logged that week, matching the behaviour of chapter weeks.
Changed
- Maintenance breadcrumb — The top bar breadcrumb for a maintenance week now reads "Maintenance" instead of "Build / Maintenance".
- Loading states — The week page loading spinner now reliably fills the available viewport height. During week navigation the hero and nav bar stay visible while plan data loads, avoiding a jarring full-page flash.
- Week navigation continuity — Prev/Next arrows on both chapter weeks and maintenance weeks no longer block at chapter boundaries; navigation continues freely until the current week is reached.
Fixed
- Maintenance hero clipping — Hero text on maintenance weeks no longer gets cut off on some screen sizes.
v1.4.28
May 11, 2026
Changed
- Smarter long run progression — StrideIQ now reads last week's planned long run and applies safe week-over-week progression caps automatically. Long runs won't jump too far in a single week, and the cap is automatically relaxed on deload, taper, and race weeks so the plan doesn't over-cap easy recovery weeks either.
Fixed
- Plan cache refresh — After chapter setup, onboarding, or regenerating a plan, the latest plan data reloads correctly without needing a manual refresh.
v1.4.26
May 9, 2026
Fixed
- Sign out screen — The branded line pattern on the red background stays visible while you sign out (the loading state no longer covers it with a flat red layer).
- Settings loading — The “Signing out” / settings loading state now fills the main content area instead of a thin strip in the middle of the page.
Changed
- Paywall for paying members — If you already have an active or trialing subscription (or a paying account type), you are not shown the trial countdown banner or paywall overlay even when your profile still looks like it is in a trial window.
v1.4.25
May 9, 2026
Added
- Longer trials when you need them — If support extends your trial, the app now respects that date for access and countdowns (instead of only the default 30 days from signup).
Changed
- Build Your Legend mark on red — The horizontal logo asset used on deep-red surfaces is updated for clearer type and spacing.
- Standard annual pricing copy — Standard annual is shown as $99.99 CAD on the marketing site and in-app billing (including the approximate monthly equivalent), matching the intended retail annual.
v1.4.24
May 9, 2026
Changed
- Annual pricing copy — The marketing site and in-app billing surfaces (paywall, settings, FAQs, and offer metadata) now show the early-adopter first year as $49.99 CAD and standard annual as $99.99 CAD so amounts match how you see them at checkout.
Fixed
- Checkout promotion codes — If the automatic early-adopter discount is not applied at checkout, you can enter a promotion code manually.
v1.4.23
May 9, 2026
Added
- Subscriptions and billing — After your 30-day trial, you can subscribe via Stripe (monthly or annual, prices shown in CAD). Early adopters who qualify see the discounted annual offer in checkout when it applies.
- Plan & billing in Settings — A dedicated billing area shows your current plan, renewal or cancellation timing, links to manage payment in Stripe’s customer portal, and a path to upgrade (including monthly → annual).
- Trial reminders in the app — While you’re on a free trial, a compact banner counts down days left and links straight to billing when you’re ready to upgrade.
Changed
- Onboarding and volume progression — Copy, spacing, and progress indicators are tightened for a clearer step-by-step flow on phones and desktops.
Fixed
- Paying members after trial — Users with an active subscription are no longer blocked by the trial-expired gate once checkout completes.
v1.4.22
May 7, 2026
Changed
- Tighter rounding on hero-style surfaces — Large dashboard panels, onboarding shells, and other rounded cards now use consistent corner sizing across the app.
v1.4.21
May 7, 2026
Changed
- Responsive breakpoints — Sidebar and layout behavior stay in sync at phone, tablet, and desktop widths so views line up predictably as you resize the window.
- Phone layout breakpoints — Layouts on narrow phones (up to 640px wide) align more predictably with small-screen designs.
v1.4.20
May 7, 2026
Changed
- More consistent spacing and rhythm — Padding, margins, and gaps across the app now follow a single spacing scale so sections and cards breathe the same way on every screen.
- Unified card and surface depth — Cards, drawers, dialogs, and overlays use softer, more consistent shadows across the app.
v1.4.19
May 7, 2026
Changed
- Activity selection cards now include sport icons — In chapter creation and chapter editing, each tracked activity row now shows a dedicated icon (run, bike, swim, or weight) before the activity name, making options easier to scan at a glance.
- Activity row balance tuned for icon space — The activity cards now use left-specific padding so text alignment remains visually balanced after introducing the icon column.
v1.4.18
May 7, 2026
Changed
- Chapter create/edit readability on red backgrounds — Headings, labels, helper copy, and summary/final-step messaging in the chapter onboarding and edit experience now stay consistently light on the brand red surfaces for better legibility.
- Chapter context placeholder contrast — The context textarea placeholder now uses a distinct lighter tone than entered text, making it clearer what is sample text versus your actual input.
- Notifications flow to activity details — Tapping an activity-fetched notification now marks it read and takes you directly to the linked activity detail page.
Fixed
- Activity detail route card spacing — Activities without GPS route data no longer render an empty placeholder block, reducing unnecessary blank space in the detail view.
v1.4.17
May 7, 2026
Changed
- Cleaner, more consistent icons across core app flows — Dashboard, chapters, onboarding, profile sections, activity media controls, and progress states now use the shared Build Your Legend icon system for a more cohesive look and feel.
- Improved visual consistency in status indicators — Completion states (checkmarks), navigation chevrons, edit controls, and empty-state symbols now match the same icon style and stroke behavior across screens.
v1.4.16
May 6, 2026
Added
- Website discoverability — The marketing site includes social preview images, a sitemap, and an app manifest for better sharing and search indexing.
- Search rich results — The home page includes structured data so search engines can show richer previews (FAQ snippets, app details).
- Product brief for AI assistants — A structured product summary helps AI tools describe Build Your Legend accurately when runners ask for coaching app recommendations.
- Marketing page sharing — Each marketing page (About, Blog, Careers, and more) has its own social preview metadata for cleaner sharing and indexing.
v1.4.15
May 6, 2026
Fixed
- AI icon gradient stroke — AI feature icons now correctly show the red-to-gold gradient stroke instead of a flat tint.
v1.4.14
May 6, 2026
Added
- Icon system — 76 crisp, consistent icons are now available across the app. The full set covers navigation, actions, arrows, status, sport types (run, bike, swim, weights, and variants), training metrics (pace, distance, heart rate, elevation, cadence, power, and more), AI, devices, and system use cases — all drawn on the same 24-unit grid with a 1.5 px stroke so they pair cleanly with any text size.
- AI icons with gradient stroke — AI feature icons support an optional red-to-gold gradient stroke that reinforces the StrideIQ visual language.
v1.4.13
May 5, 2026
Fixed
- Dark mode readability — Headings, body copy, and controls that looked fine in light theme now stay legible when you use dark theme: chapter overview (including week cards and StrideIQ blocks), dashboards, activities, onboarding flows, and the top bar menu (including sign out).
- Chapter hero — Event title and supporting lines on the gradient hero stay light on the brand background in dark mode instead of flipping to dark ink.
- Charts — Pace, heart rate, and lap tooltips use a solid card background so values are easy to read over the chart.
Changed
- Chapters list — Date tiles use a subtle chapter-themed edge instead of a generic faint outline; month and day labels stay light on the colored tiles in dark mode.
v1.4.10
May 4, 2026
Added
- Marketing site — new pages — About, Blog, Careers, Changelog, Ambassadors, Press, and Roadmap pages are live on the website with consistent navigation and footer.
